Olivers mission

  hey everyone, this week flew by so quick again. we had a good amount a lessons with our friends.  I learned a lot this week in the sense that I need to be more confident/ bold when it comes to talking to random people on the street. it takes a minute to get use to bringing up the gospel in a quick interaction. I mean I've been our for over 7 months and I still feel as if I have the skills of a 1 week year old missionary haha.  our friend Vernon gets baptized this weekend! I'm so excited for him! this moment has been long awaited. it's so cool though bc when I got into this area I found him with my old comp. I've been able to see his whole transformation into a gospel centered life. it's night and day everybody.  had a pretty decent lesson with Tina. her sister came and she pretty much was trying to tell Tina that she's wrong for making these decisions to talk with us and that the Book of Mormon is wrong. she was mistaken when she said, "show me where it t...

  hello everyone, the last two weeks have been so fun! my new comp elder jones is a super hard worker so we get along very well. we've been so busy it's been crazy. to be honest... I cant believe it's monday again.  we had zone conference this week which was really good. we talked a lot about seeking and expecting miracles which was very helpful.   some of our friends: Vernon is set to be baptized on Sept. 3 now! He's committed and it's happening. we started planning for it so that's hype. our friend Tina is able to meet with us this week after all that's happened to her. she had surgery, covid, shingles, and pneumonia.. you name it. our friend Katrina is pretty now but willing to learn so we'll see how she progresses.   hello hello! this week went by pretty quick. I went on an exchange this last Tuesday with elder Flint who's in my district. he's a super nice guy.  on wednesday it was the typically district council day along with a lesson with our friend Tina. we met this crazy lady who stopped us biking and she went on to roll a joint while we were teaching her about faith. It was super interesting. thursday was super busy. we had a lesson with this lady named Katrina, one with Vernon, a lady named jeanet, and one with our dearest friend Randall. it wad a super good day and went by so quick. Friday we got to go to the temple!! it was so awesome and I was so happy to be there. you tend to miss it if you haven't been in over 6 months.  Saturday and Sunday were just full of contacting. however, last night I met my new comp named Elder Jones. He's a super nice guy. unfortunately I don't have a photo with him yet, seeing that it's been less than 12 hours since I met him. next wee...

  hey everyone! Lowkey forgot to send an email out last week. These last two weeks have been quite interesting to say the least.  I went on an awesome exchange with this Elder named Elder Peart. He went to Hillcrest come to find out. He had also been in the area I'm in now, in the past for 3 transfers. He know where he was going and what to do so it was a good change.  My companion started feeling sick on Monday this last week. By Thursday he was still sick so he decided to do a covid test... next thing you know, we're at home for two days. I was sad because we had an exchange with the ap's that we had to cancel..  For transfers... I'm staying for a fourth. My comp will leave at the end of this week to England so I will be having someone emergency transfered in. So my real transfer news will be next week haha.  I went on another exchange this Saturday when we were let free out of the apartment it was so refreshing to say the least.
