Olivers mission

  hey everyone, I hope everyone's week went well. mine was actually pretty good. I went on two exchanges so I got a good break if you know what I mean.  on both my exchanges, we had such good days! we found so many new friends and our friend Dominic picked a baptismal date for March 4th! keep him in your prayers. he took a selfie with Elder Cabrera and I down below!  recently I've been practicing my spanish and I've been able to get quite a few numbers to pass off to the spanish elders in the area. they are super pumped for all the referrals.  we also had some fire member lessons. we went over the first vision and the spirit was so strong everytime.   I had mlc this week too! not only did I get to see my best friend elder noah kjar, some of my most favorite missionaries slept at our apartment! I was also on an exchange when they did so it was so hype bc I got to be myself   I stayed up with elder cabrera and elder kjar until 3am talking haha. so worth ...

  hey everyone!  it was a good last week of this transfer. sad that I'm losing elder silvester. we were able to teach the restoration so many times this week! each time was so powerful. there is a special spirit that enters the room when you recite the first vision.  let me tell you all.. I am so grateful for The Book of Mormon. it's the most powerful instrument that God has given us. I know that Joseph Smith translated this ancient scripture through the power of our God.  I started a new copy of the Book of Mormon a few weeks ago and this time, as I study it with real intent, I am marking everytime God makes a promise to Covenant Israel. I have found so many promises that the Lord makes to us. its unfathomable. basically my pages are all covered in green. (green being th color I'm using)  in 1 Nephi 21 the Lord makes many promises that mean so much. for example, "I have heard thee." Or "I helped thee." Or "I will preserve thee." Or "they ...

  hey everyone! I wanted to take the time and write a legit email for you all bc I've been flakey. However the work hasn't been flakey. We've had so many cool things happen! We see miracles everyday. We found this guy named Ian at Chick-fil-A one night when we were eating dinner. Since we're ysa, we have activities on the daily! Ian was able to come to activities and meet a bunch of homies! He runs a 4:06 mile!  We get to go to the temple with our friend Robert this week! He just got baptized on Christmas and we're already going to the temple so I'm so hyped for him!  We've also been finding so many people on facebook and we found this guy who came to church after one invite haha. So dope.  We did service for this state park and it was in these camp grounds. It made me probably the trunkiest I've been on my mission yet. The smell of campfire next to these beautiful mountains. That's where it's at haha.  I got to see Elder Kjar at mlc this week so...
