AMAZON PRIME KIND OF DAY

Image
hey everybody! I hope everyone had a great week! this week felt like one long day, meaning it went super fast. we taught some new people this week and it went super well. elder kjar is probably gonna be transferred at the end of this transfer so we've been working really really hard bc we don't want to waste a moment together. everyday we were out the door around 10 am, after studies and didn't come home until our usual 9 pm. we even skipped lunch one day, oops.  it's been such a good time. our area is doing super well right now.  it's all possible bc of the Lord. (Alma 26:12)  the funny story of the week is that elder kjar and I were in a member lesson having a good time. Ya know, having a revelatory experience when we heard a huge crash. the member was like, "dude, I think your bike just got run over!" luckily it wasn't mine, however my companion is bikeless. the funny thing is, it was an Amazon truck! and the dude tried to drive away!! we chased a...

MIRACLES EVERYDAY

Image
ello everyone! the miracles are real each and everyday. 2 Nephi 27:23 states, "For behold, I am God; and I am a God of miracles; and I will show unto the world that I am the same yesterday, today, and forever; and I work not among the children of men save it be according to their faith." President Nelson has told us all to seek and expect miracles. this is truly awesome. we all are able to find things everyday that are a miracle. I just wanna leave that same invitation to all of you! it truly makes you more grateful. we taught Tina this week and it went super well. she invited her sister which was awesome. she also came to church again! and guess what, she brought her grandson and he wants to learn more too! we also had our interviews with President Grisel this week and they went so well. my interview went for 30ish minutes and I just asked him so many questions when it comes to the scriptures and involving members in our lessons. he was able to answer them all and we read ...

SHAKES

Image
hello hello! once again, we got shakes from sonic or dq. we can't seem to stop ourselves from getting them often. it was a good week though! our friend Tina came to church yesterday! so happy she's taking those steps forward. she told us that she knows that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that the Book of Mormon is true. She wants to get baptized, however, she's not married and has been living with the man she's with for about 27 years now. tough situation if you ask me. she's not very adamant about doing so either.  President Eyring has this book I found in one of the apartments and it is stellar. he talks a lot about the hope that Christ can bring us in hard times. also how the world can be heinous sometimes. when talking about the loss of hope in the world and how there are evil influences all around, he states, "There is an influence of evil in the world, but there is also in the world and across all creation the powerful light of Christ." The light o...

NO MORE PADOWAN

Image
hello hello, finally I'm not a greenie anymore. it's about time. my comp elder kjar (obi wan) cut off my hypothetical padawan braid this week and I'm very happy about it.  this week was so busy. we had around 3-4 lessons everyday and we hung out with the district a lot. we're losing 3 people in our district this next transfer which is so sad bc we all got along very well. however, I'm staying with elder kjar so that is dope.  our friend tina is progressing very well. we invited her to be baptized this week and she is praying about it. we also brought a member to our lesson and it helped immensely. member missionary work is a golden form of missionary work.  we had a zone wide exchange this week and I went with this guy elder herrick. he's at 22 months and I've never met a more trunkie guy. he kept playing morgan wallen, it was tough. I can tell you honestly, it made me miss him. other than that, nothing new. I'm excited I'm staying with elder kjar ...

IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE TATOOINE

hey guys,  We hit the 100⁰ range a lot this week. It's getting super hot and frankly, riding bikes in the weather is pretty interesting. To all my Utah homies, 70⁰ feels cold now because I'm used to the heat. I remember the old days when 65 was super nice haha.  We had a mission conference this week and it was super cool. We also had stake conference so I met another general authority. That's the 5th one in 2 months. My mission president said one of the coolest things. He said, "our divine design is to overcome." I would agree wholeheartedly. I love how we all have that natural desire to draw closer to christ. I saw Elder Jensen this week which was also cool.  I broke my new bike the day I got it. Sister Grisel made us bread to give to people. Elder Wood is my homie and he reminds me of my other homie Will Hamilton. I love him. He makes me feel a sense of home. I bought another lego set, oops. Elder Kjar and I listen to the star wars soundtrack on repeat.  We ...

LIGHTSABER COMP INVENTORY

Image
hello hello, these last two weeks have been pretty amazing as usual. we found 8 people just this last week! it blows my mind.  we have a friend named Tina who is actually amazing. she is so elect when it comes to every lesson we have. she's 60ish and has been looking for the true church. we found her by inspiration and it has been a true blessing. we have had two lessons with her and each one has been about 2 hours long. she asks question after question and it's awesome bc through the spirit we can answer everyone of them with scripture or our own testimonies. one of her biggest worries was whether or not her brother was in a good place rn. we shared Alma 40:12 and when she got halfway through, she started crying. it was the sweetest thing ever. we're going to ask her about baptism this week. I'll let you know how it goes next week. we also asked our friend Vernon to be baptized this week and he accepted!  our friend Tj will also recieve the same invitation this week....

NAP TIME

Image
What's up everyone! This week was amazing. We worked non stop everyday and photos below show the energy I used. We found 7 new friends this week and every single one of them are super interested in learning more.  I'll start off my email with one of the awesome days. We first started off meeting John and Tina, who are baptists and weren't interested at first but after we got talking, they wanted us to come back. We then met Eddie, who is awesome. He loves Jesus and said You guys better come back. Now for the subject line... we felt inspired to knock on this door. Keep in mind there was a no soliciting sign. Now we're not soliciting bc obviously we're not selling anything. After 3 knocks, she opened the door yelling and said, it's nap time! Look at the sign! Bye! Then proceeded to slam the door in our faces. My comp and I were both shocked haha.  We had a pretty awesome experience on Saturday. We had been walking for a minute and I thought we should say a praye...
