Olivers mission

  hey everyone! had a pretty long but efficient week. we picked up our new companion Elder Peterson this last Tuesday. he's really cool and it's genuinely nice to have him around. he's eager to work so I'm happy for that. it's also nice bc if you know me, I need my me time and this provides me time bc he can talk to elder bessette.  our friend Dylan got baptized this last Saturday!! It was so awesome! I had a pretty one in a billion miracle this week! on Facebook I had been messaging this guy named Zachary. he was showing interest in the gospel and our conversation was really good. now for a little background, his location said he lives in Tucson so I knew that I would have to pass him off to missionaries in person eventually.  get this. we're knocking doors at this apartment complex and out of all the doors to knock, we find Zachary in person. after that moment I was so joyful! after our conversation with Zachary I legit walked away and just laid on the ground ...

  hey! as promised, this email will be more in depth. now a little about this week. what a spirit filled week I had. we had a powerful spirit abiding with us this week. we had two mission meetings this week over zoom. they were powerful and effective. it truly affirmed that the keys we hold as missionaries are aligned with President Grisel and with God Himself.  some background on the matter... earlier this year we had some of the lowest baptism rates in the southwest area as far as missions go. this is because we received revelation as a mission that our efforts can better be efficient when we align our keys as missionaries with stake presidents and the area authorities. now we have roughly 22 people on date for this next weekend alone.  the moral of this story is that when we align ourselves with what the Lord has in store, He will bless us in those efforts. it is the essence of being submissive to our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ.  working with members...

  what's up everyone! sorry I've been bad at sending out emails the last couple weeks. everything is going super well here in thatcher. we put two people on date last week and I'm super excited for them. I also got to go on an exchange with elder kjar too! It was the best thing ever. It made me miss him so much. I keep telling my president in emails that I want to be with him again and he's saying the same thing. maybe one day.  we've been working super hard. I love thatcher and love the members here! it feels like home.  I'll send a longer email next week. love you all. elder smith
