LETTERS BETWEEN OLIVER AND MISSION PRESIDENT
WEEKLY REPORTS
March 07, 2022
Please share a few successes and/or challenges from your efforts to fulfill your missionary
purpose this past week.
We were able to come in contact with a family that hasn't let anyone into their house for several years.
The dad wasn't too happy to see us but by the end, he asked us to pray for his family and come back.
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
Doubt. I feel like sometimes I doubt whether or not I'm capable of working at my full capacity.
Is there anything happening at home or with your family that you would like to share?
(Optional)
No. My family is good.
Is there anything else you would like to share? (Optional)
I think just keep in mind, my training is lowkey slow. I went on an exchange with Elder Carly a week ago
and I feel as if I learned more and became more confident with him in those 24 hours than the last couple
weeks. But also keep in mind I'm still adjusting to mission life. I always try to align my will with God and
let him prevail in the work. I feel as if im being held back because of this particular situation.
March 14, 2022
Please share a few successes and/or challenges from your efforts to fulfill your missionary
purpose this past week.
These last few days were good. I loved hearing from Elder Jones of the 70 for stake conference. The spirit
has been very powerful in my studies the last couple days. I started doing them a-er I get ready and a
little before daily planning for additional inspiration and revelation.
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
Probably the supporting each other section in comp unity. I feel as if it's very one sided sometimes.
7
Is there anything else you would like to share? (Optional)
I hope my concerns aren't making me look like I complain. I'm on my mission to work hard and give it
everything I got. There is no other place I would like to be! But, it's as if I'm being held back sometimes.
March 28, 2022
Please share a few successes and/or challenges from your efforts to fulfill your missionary
purpose this past week.
We had 1 new and 2 people came to church. It was awesome bc we met a man named Jimmy who was
pretty great.
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
Mental health in a way. I feel stuck. I get spiritual highs and they are shut down. Jeremiah 20:9 "his word
was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones." Not bc I have a "greenie" fire but also bc I only
have two years go serve the lord to the best of my ability and I don't want to waste it.
Is there anything else you would like to share? (Optional)
Your four minutes by Gary E. Stevenson. Just know I'm struggling. But also know that I trust the Lord in
all that I do no matter what situation I'm in. I also trust you and the keys that you hold. Proverbs 3:5.
April 04, 2022
Please share a few successes and/or challenges from your efforts to fulfill your missionary
purpose this past week.
This week looked up. I tried to just be as submissive as I could to God. I gave him everything bc I felt
overwhelmed. I truly felt the atonement carry me through.
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
As I transfer, I want to be able to still give me all. Joshua 1:9 states, "Be strong and of a good courage; be
not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." I truly
believe the lord is walking with me.
8
Who did you participate in exchanges with?
I was with Elder Holt.
How did the exchange go?
I loved this exchange so much! I learned so much and we worked so hard. The spirit guided us so strong
throughout the whole day. We had super good conversations about the gospel and what drives us forward.
The gospel gives us both a drive and it gives is so much joy. He's an awesome Elder.
Is there anything else you would like to share? (Optional)
I pray o-en for the welfare of those around me, even amidst my own trials. I love the lord with my whole
heart and bringing a light into others lives is so important to me. Whether it be small or big. Hopefully
one day I can look back to my mission and the memory of it, and be at peace that I gave it my all. And I
can hear the words, "well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things."
(Matthew 25:21)
During the past month, how have you seen the hand of the Lord in your work?
He's been giving me hope! I wrote in one of my talks in 1st ward, "what better way of being submissive
than following the saviors example. He came down here and set our limitations from impermanent to
immensurate, meaning he gave us infinite opportunities to progress. That's only possible through His
infinite and eternal sacrifice." The atonement gives us millions of opportunities to progress and change. I
love the word change bc it means repentance to me. It's so joyful.
May 02, 2022
Please share a few successes and/or challenges from your efforts to fulfill your missionary
purpose this past week.
This last week was really cool. We found 8 new friends. We had awesome lessons each day with our friends
that we have found and potentially, if it's according to the lords will, this week, we'll give 3 friends the
invitation to be baptized. I was sick this week, but, persevering was needed.
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
I think I could work on 4.1.2. My bike has been getting so many flats so my account is draining fast.
Who did you participate in exchanges with?
Elder Ballard and Elder Manolopolos.
9
How did the exchange go?
I thought it went really well. We worked really hard and Elder Manolopolos was awesome. He's a very nice
guy. Elder Ballard is cool too. We learned how to he more confident with door approaches.
Is there anything else you would like to share? (Optional)
How can we get more people to church. We are inviting in person and text. We struggle but I also
understand people have their agency.
During the past month, how have you seen the hand of the Lord in your work?
Yes!! Oh, he's so amazing. Elder Kjar and I have seen him bring the spirit to our companionship. We learn
from each other everyday and always have cool insights on how we can both repent (improve/change.) We
have wonderful friends who are visibly getting closer to God and it makes me so happy to see them
happy. I want to do anything I can in order to help others draw closer to Jesus Christ. I pray that I'm
humble so I don't get prideful and also for the spirit to be with me.
May 09, 2022
Please share a few successes and/or challenges from your efforts to fulfill your missionary
purpose this past week.
We had a very busy week which was good. We were able to teach a lesson to our friend TJ, with a member,
and it worked miracles. She's much more receptive and is willing to learn more and take the steps
necessary.
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
Social media work. I need to get better at texting those who add me.
Who did you participate in exchanges with?
Elder Morgensen and Elder Manalopolos.
How did the exchange go?
I'm worried about Elder Morgensen. He's struggling with some mental health. He's an awesome guy
though. We didn't really get our the door for a while. I tried pushing more to go out and eventually we
did which was good.
10
Is there anything happening at home or with your family that you would like to share?
(Optional)
My Brother got his call to Satillo, Mexico. He leaves in September. I'm so excited for him and want to
support him the best I can.
May 16, 2022
Please share a few successes and/or challenges from your efforts to fulfill your missionary
purpose this past week.
This week was good. We invited our friend Tina to be baptized and she's praying about it. We also brought
a member to a lesson and it changed the whole game of things. It went so smoothly and they clicked
perfectly. Matter a fact, our member, before we told her about group chats, set one up. It's been a miracle.
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
Working on social media.
Who did you participate in exchanges with?
I went with Elder Herrick.
How did the exchange go?
They went pretty well. Nothing too crazy about it other than we worked hard and the day went by fast.
Is there anything else you would like to share? (Optional)
I really focused a lot this week on not worrying about time. President Nelson's invitation in the last
general conference was truly divine. I love the ability to change each day. I grow so much. I yearn to grow.
I have the ability to change who I am, my habits, and worries every second. I've been praying for the gi-
of humility and charity. Although I don't feel like I'm boasting at all, it is just one of my worries. It's
important to give all my thanks to God and give him credit for everything that happens. Whether or not
that is someone answering the door or someone slamming the door. It is successful if we're acting on
spiritual promptings. We all have a divine potential. One quote I found this week was, "We can be walking
witnesses and standing sermons which objective onlookers can say a quiet amen." (Neal A. Maxwell.) I
thought it was so true. As long as we're trying our best to represent Jesus Christ.

Please share a few successes and/or challenges from your efforts to fulfill your missionary
purpose this past week.
This week was good. We had a member come to 90% of our lessons. And our friend Tina came to church
along with bringing her grandson.
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
Social media finding
Is there anything happening at home or with your family that you would like to share?
(Optional)
my cousin, whom I'm super close to, tried to commit suicide this last week. just want him to know that I
love him and God does too. elder Hollands new talk is very helpful.
June 06, 2022
Please share a few successes and/or challenges from your efforts to fulfill your missionary
purpose this past week.
We were able to move our friend Tina to more consistent lessons every 3-4 days! He grandson also wants
to start joing in and he asked about baptism! Eternities changing right before our eyes!
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
Social media work
Who did you participate in exchanges with?
Elder Morgensen
How did the exchange go?
He is not doing too good. He's struggling everyday and I want to help him. He doesn't feel happy and he
has anxiety all the time. I tried to relate my experience with him a little from my past in high-school. I
think it helped a little.
12
Is there anything else you would like to share? (Optional)
Holy cow! I had one of the most revelatory moments during personal study. The apostle Paul speaks
about how we need to prepare for the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ. People before him were prophesying of
his coming. But, in the Book of Mormon, the people act as if he already came. Before and a-er 3 Nephi.
They live as if they're resurrected now, meaning that they act as if Christ is on the earth today. I thought it
was such a cool mindset to have!
During the past month, how have you seen the hand of the Lord in your work?
Everyday!! Everyday, although there may not be a lot of contacts, I know he's watching out for me. I see
him everywhere I go, in peoples faces and how their eternity could change if they were only willing to
listen. I love spreading the gospel through the power of Jesus Christ. (Alma 26:12)
June 13, 2022
Please share a few successes and/or challenges from your efforts to fulfill your missionary
purpose this past week.
We had a good week! We taught quite a few lessons and we were able to consecutively teach our friend
Tina between 3-4 days. We are working on others as well.
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
Health in a way. I just caught a cold this week so I wasn't feeling too good. However, my mindset is the
work never stops.
June 27, 2022
Please share a few successes and/or challenges from your efforts to fulfill your missionary
purpose this past week.
It's been very good thus far. Elder Lindsey is phenomenal! He has that yearning to learn more every
second. He also led his second lesson!! So amazing! We also got our friend Randall to pray!
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
Mental health? I'm more just sad/ stressed that the area will keep going strong. Keep in mind I do worry
and am on medication for anxiety.
13
Is there anything happening at home or with your family that you would like to share?
(Optional)
Nothing too interesting
During the past month, how have you seen the hand of the Lord in your work?
Yes! He is everywhere I go. Leading Elder Lindsey and I to those who are ready to hear messages or be
brought closer to the spirit. Even if someone says no... it's successful.
July 11, 2022
Please share a few successes and/or challenges from your efforts to fulfill your missionary
purpose this past week.
We had super good councils with members this week and are trying to gain their trust. We are really
focusing on how members can further the work and we can teach. Super good councils lead to good
referrals and ideas on how we can improve... etc.
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
I think working with the members will be a big focus.
Who did you participate in exchanges with?
Elder Butterfield
How did the exchange go?
It went really well. Although there were road blocks like a flat tire for the car, we were able to still go out
and do some good work. It was cool and I learned a lot on how to better council with members.
Is there anything else you would like to share? (Optional)
Just need help with the night time situation. I have no idea what to do and it's concerning me. How
should I go about the situation?

July 18, 2022
Please share a few successes and/or challenges from your efforts to fulfill your missionary
purpose this past week.
This week went more smoother than the week before. We had some super good revelatory experiences
with members and we're just continuing on figuring out how to work with them the most effectively. How
long does it take for things to start moving forward a-er gaining the trust of members? We have seen the
success of gaining trust because they have made little comments on our work. It's good but it's only
through Christ that it's possible.
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
Working with members more effectively.
Who did you participate in exchanges with?
Elder Flint
How did the exchange go?
It went really well. Elder Flint is adjusting nonetheless. He said he has been feeling sad but I reassured him
that God will help us through our hard moments, like he did Alma.
Is there anything else you would like to share? (Optional)
As far as the night time situation. I took your advice and I went with it. It worked pretty well. He told me
that he feels "temptations" at night more o-en. The more I get to know him, the less I think he'd do
something bad. However, he does make comments that concern me. I'm almost feeling stuck in the
situation of members. I really want to know how to effectively work with them. I feel the spirit so I just
tell myself that it's working good? As far as E-14, I'm starting to run out of ideas on how to work with the
members. However, I trust the spirit and the keys that are put into where inspiration flows. I truly love
being a missionary more than anything. A-erall, I always think to myself the same thing Alma said before
he went with his brothers to preach to the Zoramites in the land of Antionum, "O Lord, wilt thou grant
unto us that we may have success in bringing them again unto thee in Christ."

Please share a few successes and/or challenges from your efforts to fulfill your missionary
purpose this past week.
Super fast week, meaning we were busy with lessons and solid member lessons! Still praying earnestly
alone and as a companionship to help build member trust.
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
Facebook. I want to find new ways to spread the gospel through Facebook this week.
Who did you participate in exchanges with?
Elder Rasmusson
How did the exchange go?
We had a good exchange! I learned a lot about how to further trust with members. I learned that creating
even better relationships with ward council and the Bishop is key.
Is there anything happening at home or with your family that you would like to share?

My sister is pregnant!! So happy for her!!
Is there anything else you would like to share? (Optional)
I just want to say thank you for the correction you always give me to become a better follower of Jesus
Christ. Im always trying to look for ways that I can repent to further change my heart to God. This week I
received the most powerful revelation of feelings as I was studying Alma 34 verses 8-14. This is when
Amulek is explaining the divinity of the Atonement. A-er deep study, I found myself feeling or one would
say imagining how the Garden of Gethsemane played out. I can only imagine how Christ felt leading up to
this focal point to which he was born. A-er deep consideration, the spirit led me to turn on a movement
by Rob Gardner, called "Gethsemane" in the Lamb of God. This song is accompanied by a very powerful
cello solo that leads you to wonder how Christ might have felt. I felt so at peace a-er this. I love Jesus
Christ and I love this gospel with every fiber of my being. I'm honored that God trusts me to be His
servant. Also, In our Mission we... create solid relationships with the members in our wards and look for
ways to help improve trust with them.

Please share a few successes and/or challenges from your efforts to fulfill your missionary
purpose this past week.
We had a really good week that flew by. We had awesome member lessons and recieved awesome
revelation from pmg. We are making daily Huddle reports and texting elders quorum president/ relief
society president about people we come in contact with. Trying to involve everyone and receiving good
feedback!!
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
Having more faith in my capabilities and as a companionship when trying to contact others.
Who did you participate in exchanges with?
Elder Peart
How did the exchange go?
It went super well. He knows the area already so we didn't waste a moment. It was a super helpful
exchange because he introduced me to people who I haven't met yet and we found new ways to further
the area with member work!
Is there anything else you would like to share? (Optional)
I am stressing myself out sometimes because I want to be a better follower of Jesus Christ. I am always
looking for ways I can repent. I ask Elder Lindsey if there's something I can work on everyday. I
sometimes don't know if I'm executing missionary work to the best of my ability. I want to continue to
work hard and not waste a moment sharing the gospel to others. I love this gospel with everything in my
heart and I want everyone to hear it. But like Alma said, "I am a man and do sin in my wish." I need to
continue to stay humble in my efforts and realize that the Lord's timing is different. I have faith in Jesus
Christ. I love him. I also worry about the area. I wonder sometimes if I'm doing everything right. I have
been here for 3 transfers and am willing and ready to serve the lord wherever he calls me, even if that
means I stay a 4th. I also worry about my next transition with a new companion. Change is hard but I
know it's necessary so we can learn and grow.
During the past month, how have you seen the hand of the Lord in your work?
Yes! He blesses me with the ability to stay patient. I always like to see things done quickly and efficiently
but sometimes, I learned, that it takes time to see the fruit of our labor. Still moving forward in faith!

Please share a few successes and/or challenges from your efforts to fulfill your missionary
purpose this past week.
We had success in our week by coming in contact with a bunch of people on Facebook. We found several
people on social media and it was super cool. We had potential for a certain week that was planned but
quickly had to re plan due to covid.
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
Patience. I lose my focus by realizing some ways I can improve. I need patience with myself in my abilities
to share the gospel.
Who did you participate in exchanges with?
Elder Rasmusson
How did the exchange go?
It went very well. We learned very quickly that our day would not go according to plan. We had 3/4
lessons cancel on us. However, we found how to persevere and come in contact with a lot of people who
are willing to listen near future.
Is there anything else you would like to share? (Optional)
I am just struggling with finding a "transfer purpose" I could call it. For example, the last 3 transfers
purpose as far as visiting people was to clear out moveouts for members. Now that it's over, where should
I begin? I've been looking through preach my gospel to recieve revelation. I think through further prayer
and fasting, seeing that it's a new month, we will find our goal for baptisms and the area. I'm also worried
about the transition to another companion but I also look forward to it. I love this work. It means
everything to me. I love Jesus Christ and all that he did for me to be able to spread the gospel.

This week was absolutely amazing. It's the best feeling when it hits 9pm and you're exhausted from a
super good day's work. Elder Jones and I were able to the the Lord's instrument in bringing others closer
to Christ this week. Our friend Vernon, through prayer, decided to move his baptismal date closer! We are
so excited and happy for him.
18
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
I would really like to learn how to best use Facebook when inviting members. We had an awesome
experience where we met with 3 separate families and had a good revelatory experience going through
their Facebook friends.

I would just like to say that I wasn't going to write an email this week due to interviews but I can't seem to
wait. This week was revelatory. I was, what you would like to say, chastised by the Lord. Throughout this
last week, I prayed fervently to thr Lord to help me recognize a way that I can change for the better. Or in
other words repent. A common and o-en quoted verse became relevant to me this week. That being ether
12:27. I noticed, to be blunt, that I've been negative in my thoughts. I had recognized, in a sleepless night,
that the Lord was telling me where in my life that I could repent and become more Christlike. The next
morning, I kneeled humbly and handed over my burden to the Lord. I came to God. I said thank you for
showing me my weakness. And from there I had faith that he would help me make my weak thing "strong."
I was able to talk to Elder Jones about where I felt I needed to repent and he was so helpful in agreeing to
help me. I ask him everyday if I've improved. I really seek to do what is right. I love this gospel with my
whole heart! It means everything to me! I'm thankful, even to this day, that I learned how to joyfully
repent. I hope that I may continue to do so humbly and try and be an example unto others what Christ
stood/ stands for.

We were able to go to our friend Katrina's with a member and discuss the plan of salvation. It went really
well and she wad super receptive. She told us that she wants to come to church this next week.
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
My confidence when it comes to bringing up the Gospel in quick conversation with people on the streets.
19
Who did you participate in exchanges with?
How did the exchange go?
I went with Elder Flint and it was a pretty productive day. He was pretty negative towards other people's
progression. I tried to reassure him that it's all the Lord's timing.

I've done a lot of reflecting this transfer and it has been humbling. I feel like I'm taking steps closer to
finding out who I am and what kind of person I want to become. These experiences that I gain everyday
can be shaping in a good way if you have a good attitude and I've really found that. I love the gospel. I
love Jesus Christ.
During the past month, how have you seen the hand of the Lord in your work?
I've seen the Lord bless us with the ability to keep going strong. I've done lots of reflecting this transfer
and it's been good. I've been able to see the Lord bless us with our efforts. We pray, we fund, we teach, we
bring others closer to Jesus Christ.

Please share a few successes and/or challenges from your efforts to fulfill your missionary
purpose this past week.
We had a good week when it came to using our time as effective as possible. We had a ton of people our
Bishop in 2nd Ward wanted us to visit so that pretty much took up our whole week. At the end we
returned and reported to him about all those people. He was super happy so in ward council yesterday he
had a whole other list of names he wanted us to visit.
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
I want to focus on being more confident when it comes to talking to random people. Sometimes for some
reason I freeze but I want to do better.

My brother leaves to the Mexico mtc next week!!
Is there anything else you would like to share? (Optional)
Following up with the seminary day we had as a district: it went super well! All the youth according to
what we saw were super receptive and Brother Palmer (seminary director of thatcher) was super happy
with our efforts. He was confident that the Lord will bless us with a couple baptisms bc of our efforts. We
also received a referral from one of the youth a-er one of our classes!! He said, "hey I have my friend and
she's interested I've already talked to her. Can you go visit her." To which we responded, "would you
wanna come with us and bring your parent?" He was super down. We are going to visit his friend this
week. On Thursday we will follow up with all the seminary classes and hope it goes well. Brother Palmer
wants us to go into seminary every Thursday to ask if they had any missionary moments and see if we can
either recieve referrals or counsel with them about their friends! I personally think this is super effective
bc we are getting up and helping them. I think there would be a difference if we just went to seminary and
pretended we were students. That's not as effective. This however is a way that we are involved and are
actively moving the work forward and involving the youth. I do need some some suggestions on how we
find people in this area. We've visited some gray dots, however, nothing as come out of it yet. Finding
here is obviously different than finding in Tucson. Any best practices? I've also taken suggestions from
everyone in our district. Thank you President Grisel!
During the past month, how have you seen the hand of the Lord in your work?
I definitely saw His hand everywhere we went. For example, days don't go according to plan, however,
through prayer the Lord guides us to those who we need to visit. The Lord's hand is definitely in the
thatcher 2nd Ward council. The whole ward council was efficient and about missionary work 95% of the
time. The ward council gave us several suggestions on how we can involve the youth more and get them
excited for serving missions and getting their friends involved!

Please share a few successes and/or challenges from your efforts to fulfill your missionary
purpose this past week.
This week went by pretty well! We had an awesome miracle with some our friends this week. We were able
to put two of the kids on date for October 15th! We also hit everyone of our key indicators this week! I
loved it because we had an effective day everyday because the goal of general conference. I want to
continue that with sacrament attendance this week as well.
21
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
I want to focus on making more meaningful decisions during simple things like getting ready, working
out, and getting ready for bed. I think the more effective I can make those mundane tasks, the work will
begin to be more efficient as well.
Who did you participate in exchanges with?
Elder Kjar
How did the exchange go?
They were so awesome!! Just like the old days when we were with each other. We worked super hard and
super efficient the whole day. We were both ready to work hard together. We also know each others work
ethics so we got into the groove super quick. I'd love to be companions with him again someday. I'd love
to even whitewash an area with him in the future! I felt so at peace that day. There's no doubt we will have
a lifelong friendship because of the time we were companions. I love the guy!

My Brother will be in the Mexico city mtc for the next four weeks. It makes me kind of sad that I won't be
able to talk to him for a month because our pdays are different. I'm also very excited for him.
Is there anything else you would like to share? (Optional)
We will be doing our seminary follow up this week and I am very excited! I also have been studying a lot
about covenants and the promises that we recieve for keeping them. Last Monday, the new liahona article
titled, The Everlasting Covenant, was super good. I've read it over 4-5 times this week because I am more
and more interested to what promises God is making to us everyday. The heavens were opened this
weekend and I am very happy with the revelation I received.

We were able to receive awesome revelation for the Book of Mormon this week regarding Love, Share,
and Invite. We created a list of ways the members can "flood the earth with the Book of Mormon." We will
apply it to our lsi lessons with members! I'm really excited.

What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
I want to work on being more consecrated. I want to wake up in the morning and think about one of our
friends. I want to always be thinking of ways we can be adapting our efforts to be more efficient and
effective.
Who did you participate in exchanges with?
Elder Edmunds
How did the exchange go?
It went pretty well. I was feeling super sick that day so it was nice to be in a car for a day and still work as
hard as I wanted. I learned how I want to be more confident in my actions towards people. Being bolder
but not overbearing.

I love being in thatcher. I love being around Elder Kjar. I want to whitewash with him and work super
hard. It's the best feeling when we work because we both know our purpose and work super hard. I love
being a missionary. I love Jesus Christ. I love the power of Godliness that is put here on the earth because
of the temple. I learned a lot about covenants this week and it wad super cool. I want to continue to study
the temple a lot before we go on the 31st.

we had a pretty spirit filled week. Although one of our most progressing friends asked us to save her for
later, we still had opportunities to bear our testimonies and it was powerful.

I'm concerned on how to find in this area. I know this area is more prone to be harder, however, I don't
want to blame it on something. I do know the Lord will magnify our efforts as we seek to do this work
according to His will. This is why I want to work on Faith this week. "Faith precedes the miracle." As I trust
God I'm confident that he will guide snd direct me. It's as if I'm moving forward the same as Nephi of old.
"And I was led by the Spirit, not knowing beforehand the things which I should do." Also I was putting
deep thought into how we as missionaries in Tatcher are to better align our efforts with what President
Haynie has invisioned. So I invited him to district council so that we could assure him that we're here to
help him and he could share with us a plan he has for the Thatcher stake. I'm excited for the guidance we
will receive.

This week went pretty well! We had a lesson with Zach who we had been talking to on Facebook and then
found him in person! It went super well and he was super receptive of the restoration and The Book of
Mormon!! Only thing is that he is attracted to men. How would you go about that?
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
I want to work on my faith in our efforts. Sometimes I catch myself doubting.
Who did you participate in exchanges with?
Elder Carly came to Elder Peterson and I.
How did the exchange go?
It went very well! Although our bikes broke very early in the day and most of our appointments canceled..
we adjusted well. The spirit wad leading us to those who were ready. We found two new friends that day
named Harold and Martin. Elder Carly was nice to have in the area because he has been there in the past
so he knew some people we overlooked! Super beneficial!

I'm still in a search for what I might need to repent for. I'm always trying to adjust and put myself in
circumstances where the Spirit is present. I thrive off the feeling of the Spirit. The members are showing
their trust in us now and it is going super well. We can see that it's apparent everyday that we are touching
lives. I love the opportunities we have to help guide others closer to the covenant path each day and I
strive to do the same.

We had a really good week! We were able to find a couple of youth in part member households and they
were genuinely interested so it makes me super excited! We also were able to have meaningful experiences
with our contacts. We tried to make everyone personable and teach according to their needs but still fulfill
the love, share, and invite aspect of interaction! Our follow up appointments have been going well too!
People are more and more trusting as we go! "Practice" restoration lessons are so great and Elder Peterson
is doing super well. I put practice in parentheses because I think every family can use a reminder of why
we believe what we believe. The spirit just guides us everywhere!
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
I want to be more humble. I studied a talk by Elder Bednar and one of the aspects of humility is self-
restraint. So specifically I want to work on self-restraint when it comes to having a good laugh in wrong
situations. It's something very small but I also think it's important.

I seek to do the Lord's will in all that I do and I pray earnestly everyday that I may achieve more
consecration in my life. I want to be fully devoted and represent Jesus Christ so others may be attracted
to that light. I pray and write my feelings down a-er prayer in hopes that I may heed to spiritual
promptings. I love Jesus Christ and I absolutely love repentance. Everyday, hour, and minute is an
opportunity for us to overcome the world and find the peace of Jesus Christ through repentance. This
means I need to change for the better. May I do so. May I "Press on. Hold fast. Heed not" to temptation
and remember the power of my covenantal relationship with my Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus
Christ.

We had an awesome week! Our friend Ian picked a date for baptism. We also found 3 people who are meek
and ready to learn. One of their names is Alexis. She had never heard of The Book of Mormon before
until she met us and was very happy to hear of another record. We have gone over basics of th restoration
but will go back tonight and bring a member so we can further develop a testimony!
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
I want to be more fully devoted to the Lord.
Who did you participate in exchanges with?
I was with Elder Kjar and Elder Krey
How did the exchange go?
They were really good. We were able to teach some people who really wanted to learn more so that was
really cool. I hurt my foot biking so it was a last second exchange for a car. It went well I thought and I
learned how to be more devoted myself.

I cut my hair today. It's shorter than I thought it would be. Sorry if that's against mission standards. I was
really struggling this week with being confident in myself and so I thought it could be a way where I'm
not so worried about my outward appearance and focus on the task at hand. I did not cut it to rebel or to
go against anything. I just want to be a better person and this was a way that I could mentally improve. I
received some negative feedback from another elder so automatically I felt as if I had made the wrong
choice. However, this was the reason I did it. So I wasn't worried what man thought of me, rather, God. I
seek not to fear man but to fear God. I get to caught up in worrying about worldly things when I should
really be focused on spiritual. I truly, truly want to be the best disciple of Jesus Christ I can be. "Being
‘converted unto the Lord’ [Alma 23:6] means leaving one course of action, directed by an old belief
system, and adopting a new one based on faith in Heavenly Father’s plan and in Jesus Christ and His
Atonement. ... ... Internalizing such a commitment is a lifelong process that requires patience and ongoing
repentance. Eventually, this commitment becomes part of who we are, embedded in our sense of self, and
ever present in our lives." Ultimately, I am seeking to repent.

We had an awesome week! One of our new friends drove himself to church and told us he wants to come
back. We also had a Baptism for this man who had removed his records years ago. It was so sweet. One of
those weeks where I cried of joy describing it to my family. The power of Godliness was manifest this
week and it was awesome.
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles

Focus on my successes and not my failures. I beat myself up.

During the past month, how have you seen the hand of the Lord in your work?
I have loved seeing the change that happens in people over time. I have seen the Lord's hand by
recognizing the power of covenants. I also have been able to recognize many many miracles! I pray that I
may be more grateful for the blessings that God has bestowed upon me. I see his hand in simple things
like prayer and sunshine. I'm so grateful for the goodness of God! He truly works miracles.

We had a very good week when it came to finding those who are willing to let God prevail in their lives!
We found 2 people on facebook and were able to have really good lessons with the both of then. One
man, named Bryce, had just had his grandma pass away. As we sat and listened to him in this time o grief,
my feelings were struck too. It became very apparent that this was a moment to "mourn with those that
mourn." I felt so sorrowful for his feelings but felt so much hope as we shared scriptures on the
redeeming power of Jesus Christ. I'm so grateful to be out on a mission and help those who wouldn't
receive it unless we were there. Bryce plans on meeting with us more to receive what he would call, "his
spiritual upli-ing."
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
I want to work on being less worrisome. Sometimes I fear for numbers sake. Although I know we are
working hard sometimes things like areabook don't always emplify that. I don't want to be controlled by
numbers. I want to be submissive to God.
Who did you participate in exchanges with?
Elder Jolley
How did the exchange go?
It went pretty well. He was able to come to ysa with me. We worked hard that day. Sometimes his attitude
had an effect on what we did during the day. I dont mean this out of any disrespect but he's a pretty
negative guy. It had an effect on the way the spirit was able to work through us to be His instruments. All
in all however, I have my own things I need to work on so I'm not going to judge. We learned that we
both wanted to teach more by the scriptures in our lessons.

My takeaways from mlc were so cool. For example, I thought to myself, "Jesus Christ when He heals, looks
at our faith, and because faith is always pointed toward the future, He looks not at who we are but rather
who we can become." I'm so grateful for the opportunity to exercise a little more faith everyday that I
may become like Jesus Christ.

We focused on finding those who are wanting to let God prevail and its been really cool. We had no one
who was planning on coming to church and ended up with 2 people! We also had this really powerful
lesson about th sacrament with these roommates named Angelo and Anias! They both wanted to learn
more and both said they felt so much peace in the chapel and want to be there o-en.
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles

reach out to our friends through group chats and inviting then to church.

I need help. I feel beat down. I start to question my abilities to be a missionary because of all the faults
that are pointed out. Am I really good enough? I know I am because Christ is there to help. However,
there comes a time and point where I can't be beaten up because I'm trying to do my best. I need an
exchange or something. I've addressed these concerns to him but they are shot down. Long story short.
I'm really not doing good at all. Elder Cabrera is giving me a blessing so that will help. I'm also trying to
apply the principle of acting and not being acted upon. The work is great and I love serving people and
seeing them draw closer to Jesus Christ. The work is what is keeping me moving forward right now.

our friend Jesus came to church this Sunday and he bore his testimony! it was so awesome! he said a
prayer at the end of his testimony for everyone in the congregation! my heart was so happy a-er this
moment! we were able to help him recognize thr spirit that he felt and how he could continually feel that
with the promise of the Holy Ghost!
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
I want to focus exercising more faith in Jesus Christ this week. As I'm able to turn to him in every thought
and action, I know that He can carry me through the places where I am not strong enough to.
Who did you participate in exchanges with?
1. Elder Gatten and Gordhamer 2. Elder Rogers
How did the exchange go?
1. It was a really good day with Elder Gatten and Elder Gordhamer! we were able to get several referrals
from their members and we went and visited and reported on our attempts in the same hour. I learned
how being diligent with creating those good relationships with members, the Lord will magnify our
efforts! 2. With Elder Roger's, we worked super hard! We had a 10 minute lunch and a 30 minute dinner!
We didn't stop until 9pm hit and it wad so fun! When we continue to build on the momentum we've
received, the Lord does wonders! I learned about being more resilient in my efforts as a missionary and in
my life.

However, such difficulties allow us to change for the better, to rebuild our lives in the way our Heavenly

understanding than we were, more empathetic than we were, with stronger testimonies than we had
before" -President Monson This quote is what keeps me going. I'm striving to be like Jesus Christ.

We had cool experiences with our friends! We were able to have many 5x5 councils with our members
friends! Many of them becoming very success because they are looking for people who aren't members
without us even asking and bringing them to activities. We also had a very cool lesson with our friend
Jesus! A-er Elder Andersen visited the institute, he felt the spirit confirm to him that he was an Apostle of
God. He chose a baptismal date because he wanted to come closer to Jesus Christ!
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles

I want to work on 7.7.3. I want to specifically work on not allowing myself to be "beat up." I feel

Who did you participate in exchanges with?
1. Elder Ashby 2. Elder Edmunds
How did the exchange go?
1. With Elder Ashby I learned a lot! It was a good day where we both found so much joy in our
determination to find someone who wants to let God prevail. He is an awesome Elder! He could definitely
be a district leader or even a zone leader. 2. With Elder Edmunds we worked super hard! It was cool. he
was able to help me be more confident in talking to people that might have been walking away from us.
For example, there was this man who was on his way to work but through persistence, we followed him to
his car and were able to share a message with him! he wanted to learn more by the end!

As far as what I studied this week, I found a lot out about the way I can further act and not be acted upon.
Elder Andersen had stated, "Don't let the arrogance of another effect your own humility." I hope that I
stand with all humility before God. Although I am not perfect, I am trying and sometimes that's all I can
do. I seek to have more moments where I think less of what "I" want, rather what God needs. It's not
about me. It's about what God wants. I am just the instrument to act in His hands. All in all, I pray that I
can have an extra measure of love towards one another. I pray that I may have an extra measure of
spiritual recognition that I may know God's hand is very involved. The object of prayer is not to change
God's will but to help me learn to accept His. I want to beseech Christ every step of the way.

It was really cool that our friend Jesus is so involved in the gospel of Jesus Christ! it makes me so happy
that he is finding ways that he can let God prevail in his life. On wednesday he went to the institute
looking for us and ended up goibg to an institute class with President Bauer instead! It makes me so
joyful when our friends find the joy that we find through Jesus Christ. We had a hard time getting people
to church this last week and it was hard because a lot of them got sick.
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
I want to work on keeping the safegaurds better with my companion. He has been watching a ton of reels
on facebook. I've talked to him about it and will say, "Hey why are you watching those" and he continues
to watch them. I feel that it is not conducive to the spirit and its definitely affecting the spiritual unity.
Who did you participate in exchanges with?
Elder Dinh
How did the exchange go?
The exchange went really well! We felt inspired to go to a complex in his area and found someone name
Glenn and another potential guy name Bo. We were able to have Elder Dinh pass off right then and there
so that was nice. He is a great Elder! He has such great desires to work hard. We were able to council
together on ways that we could better use the five lists. We both made goals together to see if we could
come up with new creative ways to find. We will follow-up with each other this next week! I was very
impressed on how he could talk to others so well and he's only been out for 4ish months! I would have
never been able to do that! It was awesome!

In regards to Elder Andersen's visit and inviting us to memorize scripture stories that convict us, I was
able to memorize quite a bit of Mark 9:22-24. I'm trying to work on a couple other stories and a couple
more verses of that specific story. I find so much peace through doing this. It helps me recite them in
moments of temptation and sadness. I can't imagine how tender the moment was between Jesus and the
father who's son had a "dumb and deaf spirit." When the father cries out, "have compassion on us and
help us." I don't think it was a mistake that the father used the plural of "us" in that sentence. I can only
imagine what it was like for the father and his whole family, especially his mother, to go throughout their
lives with this spirit living in their son. The faith that the family pleads ro Jesus with is amazing. I cry
thinking about how merciful Christ is. "Lord I believe, help thou mine unbelief." I want to go about with
more humility this week. It's not about me or what I want. It's about what the Lord needs. Just know I
need a change because I am mentally beat up. I have become more resilient, however, it doesn't help to
keep receiving this comments. I have learned this transfer to stand up for myself and it was exactly what I
needed. I didn't even realize it. I love my Savior. I know that He is there. He loves me. He loves my family.
I'm so grateful that we are sealed together for eternity. I love my Heavenly Father. As I come to know
Jesus Christ I hope I can help others know of His love as well. "Jesus is the very Christ, it must needs be
that the Gentiles be convinced also that Jesus is the Christ, the Eternal God." (2 Nephi 26:12)

We had some really cool things happen this week! We got a new bishop on Benson ward and we were able
to sit down with him and be able to reestablish our relationships as missionaries! It was so revelatory. He
told us that he wanted to have more action from the ward council. He said that he felt like we were doing
all the work and he needs us to bring specific needs that they can help with as far as our friends go. Along
with that he has asked us to send him a report about every less active we meet with that he may better
establish the respected relationships with other members of the ward council. It was so awesome!
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles

I'm so grateful for the opportunity to fully devote my time and serve in the vineyard of the Lord. I had a
member reach out to me over messenger today from my old area in East tucson. She told me that her and
her husband were getting sealed in the temple and also to their little baby boy on May 5th. She expressed
her gratitude for my companion and I acting on the inspiration that the Lord gave us to knock on their
door the day we did. I cried tears of joy as I read this and shared it with my mother. "Now seeing that I
know these things, why should I desire more than to perform the work to which I have been called?... I
remember what the Lord has done for me, yea, even that he hath heard my prayer; yea, then I do
remember his merciful arm which he extended towards me." I love my Father in Heaven and His Son Jesus
Christ with all my heart and seek to love them more each day.

As transfers come up I figured I might as well ask if Elder Ballard could come here with me. Obviously
this isn't usually how it works, however, I have been praying a lot and I think that we could both combine
the things we've learned in our time as missionaries and go work hard together. Again, I know this is
merely a suggestion, but it would be a very cool time to work hard together. Not my will but the Lord's.
During the past month, how have you seen the hand of the Lord in your work?
The Lord has placed His hand many times. We are truly servants working in His vineyard. I made it a
transfer goal to develop the faith like the servant in the vineyard. I have truly seen that the Lord is
preparing people for us and I almost expect it now. As I have studied mosiah 1-5, I have found so many
profound truths that I can apply to this ministry. It truly is all about Jesus Christ.

This past week was very cool! Zone Conference and our interview helped so much. I was able to apply the
things I learned. Thank you so much for your advice on how to lovingly state my purpose but still move
with compassion. Because we were more bold with our invitations about baptism we wer able to find out
people's obstacles. Our friend Brenda apparel just liked our company so we had to lovingly tell her that
when she's ready that we will come running. On the other hand our friend Brenda picked a date for
baptism only two weeks out!! We are seeking to apply this all this week!

If I could put into words how I feel about being a missionary I'm sure it would be simply love. I reflected
back on some journal entry's from the beginning of my mission and now. My focus has completely
switched from selfish desires to waking up and thinking, even dreaming about how we could better help
someone in the vineyard in which I am serving. I have so much gratitude for Jesus Christ and my
Heavenly Father. The fact that they trust me to labor here at this time. My prayers have been changed
from "I want this" to "Please Father help this person." The Book of Mormon is playing a very big role as
well. I hope to be like Nephi and exercise the courage he had. Thank you President Grisel! You are a great

Last week we had an awesome opportunity to meet a family who is inactive. Sister Snovel told us that she
usually doesn't like missionaries coming in but she felt different about us. She fed us dinner the very next
Monday with her son who is not a latter-day saint, as well as her husband. Our friend Barbara Hazelwood
also picked may 27th for her baptism so that wax super exciting too!

This week was amazing! It's always a blessing to wake up and be fortunate enough to declare this word to
people! Five of our friends came to church and that was a blessing! As I sat partaking of the Sacrament
this last Sunday, I pondered the change that I see in God's children whom we are blessed to teach. I felt
the spirit so strongly and it reminded me of all these people I've been able to help and the change that
they have received through Jesus Christ. As I sat making a covenant with God, I felt recommitted to
helping others partake of this great joy I am fortunate to receive every week.

What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
I wish to be more devoted to being honest in 3.4. I want to be more honest with myself and not hold
myself to an "expectation" that was made up in my brain. I want to recognize my weakness sort of say that
I may become humble.
Who did you participate in exchanges with?
Elder Gibson
How did the exchange go?
Soooooo amazing!! One of my favorites for sure! We were able to teach so many people that the Lord put
into our path. One of the strongest lessons I was ever able to participate in. I wrote it all down in my
journal because it was definitely not something I want to forget.

This week so really good! 3 of our friends came to church and we made super good progress with our
friends! I've learned so much this transfer how everything is truly in the hands of God.
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
I want to focus on 7.8.3 because we ran into a few situations where people were angry at us. I specifically
want to strive to continue to "hold my peace" just as Jesus Christ did.

Elder Holland said one time, "There is something at work in suffering that is exalting." This particular
quote has stuck out to me for quite some time. As I was studying this week I came across scriptures that
spoke super loud to me. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment,
worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18 While we look not at the things which
are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things
which are not seen are eternal." I love serving the Lord with all that I have. I know He will magnify all that
I put on the altar.

This week has been so amazing! I love being with Elder Empey! When we got to Animas this last week we
were able to run into this amazing man named Jarvis Webster! God does not cease to be a God of
miracles!! What are the odds that we knock on a random door in the middle of nowhere. It is truly God.
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
I want to focus on having more courage and gratitude for the blessings God is actively bestowing upon
me. I want to have more courage to speak out and truly stand as a witness of Jesus Christ in all things and
places.

"And behold, he is God, and he is with them, and he did manifest himself unto them, that they were
redeemed by him; and they gave unto him glory, because of that which is to come." (Helaman 8:23) This
scripture describes my personal transfer goal. I want to be able give gratitude for the blessings and
miracles that God is bestowing upon us at the present moment and for moments to come. I know that
God is truly with Elder Empey and I! There's no doubt about it in my mind. I look forward for the
miracles that God will bestow upon us.

What an amazing week! We were able to teach and have so many meaningful interactions with members
and our friends we're teaching. One highlight that was hard to pick from because there are so many was
specifically with our friend Brandy. She is so invested in learning more about the gospel and asks so many
amazing questions. Her husband and children are all latter-day saints but she grew up with a different
back round. Brandy told us several times during our lesson with her that what we were saying was true
and that we always say the right thing. I though it was so cool because looking back It was nothing I said
or did. It was the Spirit speaking to her!
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
I want to focus on being more confident in asking harder questions. Specifically about baptism and our
purpose as missionaries!
Who did you participate in exchanges with?
Elder Erickson and Elder Christensen.
How did the exchange go?
What an amazing day! We probably walked a good 8 miles that day and had so many good interactions
with people in silver city. It was so fun to be able to learn from Elder Christensen and how he was so
confident to talk to literally everyone! It was so awesome. I was able to take that back into this area. Elder
Erickson has such a confidence in his speech as well. He's not worried about sharing what is on his mind
and the Spirit magnifies it every time! Elder Erickson is getting pretty "old" in the mission and honestly
President, I think he would make a great Zone Leader! He has a great work ethic that I think other
missionaries need to see and learn from. When he talks about the Gospel I leave the conversation
motivated.

I would just like to share a thought from the scriptures. There was this moment where one of our
members who has been a latter-day saint for a little bit of time was questioning whether or not the grace
of God was sufficient for her. She was worried that if she were to sin right before she dies that God
wouldn't "save" her. I don't know how the Spirit brought this scripture to my mind but it was so
profound and was a testament to me! Alma 41:6 states, "And so it is on the other hand. If he hath repented
of his sins, and desired righteousness until the end of his days, even so he shall be rewarded unto
righteousness." God cares so much about what we desire. I know that now. I love God.

We had such a hype week! We were able to work with a bunch of other missionaries and learn a bunch
from other people. We had one of our friends James call us Sunday morning and tell us that he didn't
think he wanted to learn anymore. Through persistence, we set up another lesson and were able to meet
with him that evening. He told us, "If it wasn't for the Book of Mormon I would join the church." We
talked about the divine authenticity of the book of scripture and by the end of the lesson he committed
to learning more and is a lot more sincere now. I am super excited to teach him more!
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
I want to focus on having more joy through the process. Sometimes I stress too much about things that
are not in my control and I want to slow down. My All Heart goal is to be able to say prayers of gratitude
more o-en than I do.
Who did you participate in exchanges with?
Elder Nelson and Elder Ashworth
How did the exchange go?
Elder Nelson: It went very well! Seeing that he returns home this transfer, I asked him what his best advice
for me would be in my last couple months. He told me that I should just love no matter what and serve
always. Be diligent and caring. And have fun. This is a joyful process. The exchange was good because we
were able to talk to so many people and have a lot of good interactions. Elder Ashworth: This was
awesome and life changing. He helped me so much. We had an amazing conversation about giving our all
to the Lord that we can look back and not regret anything. We talked about consecration and joy. We
talked about how the two topics can work hand in hand together and how they always should. I was able
to have a mind reboot and redetermination to work as hard as I can until the end.

I've been thinking about transfers and I don't usually ever ask or make recommendations. However, I
have been thinking a lot about our friends who we are teaching and what Elders would be a good match
for them. I respect the revelation you receive and in the end the Lord's will is above all else. As far as
Lordsburg goes, this area is unlike any other. I love it so much. To be 100% honest, seeing that
information results in revelation, it is very small and hard on the mental capacity because it is so far away
from everyone else. The work is amazing and I am here to work as hard as I can no matter what. That is
without question or doubt. Now with that context I would recommend Elder Arriaga. He is a convert to
the church and one of our friends named Brandy would benefit so much from his experiences. With that
said President, I respect the revelation always. And to frankly repeat myself, I have never ever made a
suggestion like this, seeing that the Lord's will is simply the Lord's will. I just want to say thank you for all
that you do! My relationship with Jesus Christ has deepened more since you got here. The focus on Christ
is evident and beneficial. Something that I will never forget.
During the past month, how have you seen the hand of the Lord in your work?
The hand of the Lord has been very evident. Every night I ask myself if the Lord has ceased to be a God
of Miracles and the answer is always no. The people he's prepared for us to teach is remarkable. I honestly
can say that I am nothing like Ammon of old. (Alma26:12) This work is truly the Lord's. I consider it a
blessing that the Lord trusts me to be here at such a time as this. I am so beyond grateful for the
experiences that I gain everyday. Whether they be easy or hard. It is all truly by divine design. I wake up
everyday and look forward to who we can talk to that day that perhaps that might catch a glimpse of the
love that our Heavenly Father has for them.

This week was pretty crazy. We were able to help our friend James recognize truths of the Book of
Mormon that he hadn't seen before. Rather the spirit made those things known unto him. We did have
some challenges as far as visiting certain people. Health got in the way of some of our appointments but
we are back on our feet so that is good. I was very grateful for the opportunity to help our friend Jackie
out too. She reached out to us and one of our members here in lordsburg so we could pray for her. I am
so grateful that she can count on us to be there for her.

What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
My All-in goal is to try and find a way to behold the wounds of Jesus Christ in other people and in this
work in general. My motivation behind this goal comes from Doctrine and Covenants 6:33-37. My All-
heart goal is going well. It was to be able to show more gratitude through prayer. I have been able to be
better at thanking God in all that I do in several prayers throughout the day.

I just want to say thank you for your advice to study Alma 7:11-12 last week. It helped a lot to be able to

helped so much.

This last week was good! We had the opportunity to teach Brandy Roberts again and she is preparing for
baptism for this upcoming saturday! I am so excited to see her make this promise with God! It has been a
blessing to teach her and be apart of her journey at this specific time. I have been able to recognize that if
I were to teach her a year ago I don't think I would have been as prepared. God's timing is impeccable. I
am o-en blown away how I am in the right places at the right time. This truly has nothing to do with my
capabilities and has everything to do with the Holy Ghost.
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
I want to work on keeping an eye single to the glory of God more. To be able to look to God and live sort
of say. Sometimes I find my mind getting distracted on issues that are of no importance. My all-heart goal
is going well. I have seen a difference by looking at peoples situations through the lenses of Jesus Christ. I
find myself being more patient with progression and trusting God in the process.

What a great week! The following is an excerpt from my journal about Brandys baptism. "The day of her
baptism was so special. She was so excited and you could see it on Spencer's and Brandy's face. As people
entered into the chapel the Spirit was so strong instantly. As we went to the other room to watch her and
Spencer enter the font, it was overwhelming. A-er she was baptized Spencer and her hugged. 30 seconds
or more. She sobbed in his arms as he cried holding her tight. The way the sun came through the window
made everything so bright. They both were filled with light. "Therefore, in the ordinances thereof, the
power of godliness is manifest." (Doctrine and Covenants 84:20) As we came back in the chapel prelude
music hummed in the backround. I closed my eyes to feel the overwhelming feeling of Love. The spirit
was beyond description. As my eyes lay closed darkness did not fill my surroundings. It was white. My
eyes were close but I felt as if I were sitting in a room where the sun was brightly shining. I could almost
hear the heavens sing. This moment was very special."
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
All heart: I continued to focus on the principles of studying the way I could recognize the Saviors wounds
in my ministry. I read an excellent talk this week that helped a lot. It states, "As we strive to always
remember Jesus, it is important to keep in mind that He always remembers us. He has etched us upon the
palms of His hands (see Isaiah 49:16). Think about it—benevolent Jesus will not, cannot, forget us, yet He
so easily and willingly forgets our sins that bruised Him so."

How did the exchange go?
The exchange went pretty well! It was a day full of door slams and nos. Although this happened it was still
a very good learning opportunity for all of us. We all learned together that the Lord guides us to people
in peculiar ways. The effort we put in will be magnified. They are both great Elders.

I need some advice from you. Recently I have felt the pull of Satan regarding temptation. I feel the closer
I get to the Spirit the more I am tempted to have unclean thoughts. I am trying really hard to keep my eye
single to the Glory of God. I pray constantly. What would you suggest?
During the past month, how have you seen the hand of the Lord in your work?
The past month has been so amazing. The given circumstances have made me learn to trust the Lord
more. I have seen amazing experiences with people we interact with. I have also seem sad ones. It hurts me
to watch people to reject such a glad message. However, the Lord's timing is everything and I know that
plays a big role in everyone's journey.

What a crazy week! We had really cool things happen and some lows for sure. A lot of our friends are not
progressing to the point of baptism so we have to give them some space. On there other hand, we
received an awesome member referral by the name of Rob. He is interested in learning more about The
Book of Mormon! We also were in places where we could assist in blessings.
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
My all heart goal: To focus on ways I can recognize the Saviors wounds. I have been able to do this by
remembering the words, "Could ye not watch with me one hour?" I o-en think to myself how I can better
watch with Christ and turn outward. I have been able to better recognize the potential God's children have
regardless of their situation. I find it always important to try and look at others the way Christ did.

Elder Hamblin

How did the exchange go?
Although we had to travel a lot to get to places because our area is super big, we were able to learn a lot
about thr motives behind missionary work. I find it really inspiring that Elder Hamblin is always looking
for ways to improve his discipleship and I want to do the same. We were able to teach in such unity that
the spirit was powerful. I always find it admiring when I can connect spiritually with another Elder.
There's a lot of things I want to continue to learn from Elder Hamblin by observing his personal
discipleship.

The study on luke chapter 22 was very inspiring. I have always loved the encounter between Jesus and
Peter just before he enters the Garden of Gethsemane. He was actively praying for Peter and I like to
assume all His disciples just before He was about to suffer for our sins. Not only that, He was about to
suffer for th very sin in which Jesus warned Peter accordingly.

This week was pretty great! We were able to have good interactions with many members who are less
active. We also were able to talk to somebody named Devin who wants to play basketball with some of our
youth. We also were able to get in contact with this family who has been trying to come back to church
but hasn't had the member connection to do so. They were able to go to the spanish group in Duncan!
What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles
in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?
My All heart goal this week was to try and focus on the principle of "laying hold upon every good thing." I
found this very helpful. There were several times where I was able to refocus my thoughts and energy
when I got distracted with things that were not as important. It also helped because I found so many
things were simply good. I am seeking to just love God with all that I have.

My parents told me today that my grandma has stage four cancer. They all found out this last sunday
evening. I am honestly shook. She has always been the most healthy so it surprises me that these are the
circumstances. It also confuses me because she just had open heart surgery about 2 months ago and they
didn't catch anything then. I am honestly just sad. I have turned to the Lord through lots of prayer.

This past week was so fast. It felt like two days. I was honestly happy that pday got pushed to Wednesday

sort of kemo. I'm lost for words. I never saw this coming.
During the past month, how have you seen the hand of the Lord in your work?
This past month went very fast. I saw the Lord's hand through trusting the process. Sometimes it's very
slow but I learned that as you continue to try your best God will magnify you as a person. It's been a
blessing to be a missionary and I'm so grateful I have more time to serve.
